Salt New York - Swatches on Dark Skin and Review

Hi everyone! I wanted to get this post up so you can still take advantage of the 30% off from Salt New York that’s going on.

Salt doesn’t have swatches on medium dark/ dark tan skin tones, and it makes it difficult to purchase from them. In fact, I’ve been eyeing the brand for over a year and a half. I finally decided to take the leap after I saw two lighter skin Instagrammers post about these blushes.

First, can we talk about this amazing palette?! For $35, you get this zipped vegan leather (mimics safiano leather texture) magnetic palette that you can rearrange with whatever shades you want (holds 8 Salt pans, and single eyeshadow pans). It’s beautiful, I ended up ordering the mini palette that can hold 4 pans in the second order.

I’ve been playing with them for a week, and I have already placed another order. I love them. These are the best formula for brown skin - these are sheer yet so pigmented. They layer beautifully, and look so freaking good all day. These are the best cream/gel blushes that I have found. They leave a dewy finish, and are non sticky. You can also use this on the lips for a monochromattic look, it is a translucent stain rather than a full coverage lip product.

Anyway, here are the swatches in this order, wrist to elbow, in various lighting: Radiant Gold, Spice (a better version of Rose Latte from Fenty), Cranberry, Blackberry, Bronze-Medium (this bronzing shade is perfect for me)

As far as the price point, the pans are $16 and The Palette is $35. I bought them on sale for 30% off, paying $81.82 for the palette + five pans. These are said to be a more inclusive alternative to Hourglass cream products. For a customizable, luxury product, I would highly recommend these.

If you miss the sale, comment below for a link for 30% off (not affiliated, just a referral link where I get a discount on the next order if you purchase).

I purchased all products.
