Lisa Eldridge - Velvet Blush Swatch and Review
I have another amazing find in the luxury category - the lipsticks from Lisa Eldridge found here.
I bought the shade in Velvet Blush, which is described as “a deep pink berry inspired by the flushed hues of Rococo artists Watteau, Fragonard and Boucher.”
I am so impressed. This is the perfect bullet matte lipstick - packaging, application, longevity, color, comfort, and appearance. It has beat out every other matte lipstick in my collection (even Pat McGrath Lab’s mattetrance formula).
Application is full color in one swipe, it is creamy but the finish is matte. It looks very sophisticated, and wears just as well for at least 6 hours. There is some transfer but it is very minimal, and can withstand light eating and drinking. Reapplication is also easy, I just layer on top without any texture issues. It does transfer a little onto your mask, but the color stays on the lips.
The packaging is the most beautiful metal, magnetic closure. It feels weighty and high quality. The bullet itself is just gorgeous and applies fully pigmented in one swipe. This is the perfect neutral-ish berry-toned mlbb look for me. I am only wearing the lipstick here, no lipliner.
Here is an arm swatch, it is the first shade (closest to the wrist):
It retails for $35.44 ish/ $26 GBP. Love, love, love! These would make the most perfect gifts for the holidays, it’s a sure crowd pleaser. I’m thinking of picking up a set in another shade.
I purchased this product.
